Hellos Via Hotlanta

Long distance relationships can be a pain, but because of it my boyfriend and I get to randevou in different locations (depending on our work schedules). A few weeks ago, we decided to make his work trip to Atlanta one of our meeting points- and what a great idea that was! One thing you must know about me is that I love food and I love trying different type of foods, and luckily for me, Bugra is the same way. The supposed calorie counting lifestyle was set aside this weekend, and Bugra and I indulged like kids in a candy store. From fine dining to good ól southern BBQ we left with full stomachs and happy hearts.

Dating a Turkish man has it benefits because well, food! For example, if you would of asked me what I was having a few years ago, I would of said some type of meat. Now I can confidently tell you I enjoyed adana kebab and izmir kofte (ps kofte means meat lolz). Cafe Agora is located in Buckhead which if I remember correctly, is somewhat midtown of Atlanta. Really adorable cafe with spacious outdoor seating. If you're in the mood for Mediterranean, specifically Turkish food, you should give this place a try.

I usually never go to very expensive restaurants mainly because they charge a ridiculous amount of money for food that is not even worth it. However, Bones deserves every penny of it- from their food,  extensive wine list and top quality customer service, Bones is by far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. And yes ladies and gentlemen, all that food was for two ;)

What is a visit to Atlanta without some good ól fashioned BBQ?! Bugra could not stop stressing how much we had to eat at FoxBros BBQ. At first glance the place looks like a big shaq in someones backyard, but you can't turn down a place until you try it, right? As soon as we arrived for an early lunch, there was a huge line with the place already packed. It was worth the wait- a ton of napkins later, we had pulled pork, beef briscuits, chicken wings, mac & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, texas fries(pictured above) and sweet tea. The amount of food we ordered was absurd, but we could not make up our minds and well, why not lolz

Two Urban Licks exemplifies the up and coming Atlanta. The ambiance gives you this chic underground NYC feel, but with that genuine southern comfort. When in Atlanta, this place is a must! The food is soo good we had it again for dessert- this time it was for four lol
